A busy Property & Casualty insurance broker is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide day-to-day support. This is an unofficial secretary role focused primarily on administrative duties, with light exposure to underwriting tasks. Ideal for someone organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced insurance office environment.



Responsibilities:


  • Provide administrative and clerical support directly to the broker
  • Manage emails, correspondence, scheduling, and client follow-ups
  • Prepare applications, quotes, and policy documents for review
  • Assist with data entry, file organization, and record maintenance
  • Communicate with clients, carriers, and vendors as needed
  • Support basic underwriting-related tasks such as gathering documentation and verifying information
  • Track renewals, deadlines, and policy updates



Qualifications:


  • Prior administrative or office support experience required
  • Familiarity with Property & Casualty insurance terminology or processes preferred
  • Basic understanding of underwriting concepts is a plus (not required)
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and office software
  • Professional, dependable, and detail-focused
