Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Underwriter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing the risks involved in insuring properties and individuals. They will assess insurance applications, determine coverage terms, and decide on appropriate premiums to ensure profitability while minimizing risk exposure.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze insurance applications, policies, and other documents to assess risks.
• Determine appropriate coverage terms and premiums based on risk assessment.
• Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify policy details.
• Utilize underwriting software and tools to evaluate risk and make informed decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and partners.
• Monitor and review existing policies to identify potential risks and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in P&C underwriting or a related insurance role is preferred.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in underwriting software and tools is preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and market trends is preferred
