Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join their healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive pain management services to patients, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. 

Responsibilities:

• Obtain complete health histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations
• Prescribe and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for chronic and acute pain
• Instruct and counsel patients regarding goals of pain management therapies, compliance with therapeutic regimens, medication side effects
• Caring for patients with chronic pain
• Prescribing medications appropriate to treatment plans as well as checking PMP for prescriber safety
• Consulting with physicians to find the correct treatment plan for each patient

Qualifications:

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Proficient in developing and implementing comprehensive pain management plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy and compassion
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalent
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
• Active DEA registration



Travel:

Traveling throughout Long Island, NYC, Rockland Co., and Orange Co. is required.
