CUSTOMER SERVICE with Manufacturing software

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Customer Service professional with manufacturing software to join our team in taking the leadership role in our Inside Sales/Customer Service Department.
Job Summary: The main function of this job is to provide effective customer service and support to the customer and/or prospect. A Customer Service Representative must possess computer and customer service skills;
he/she acquires product knowledge to provide problem-solving capabilities. The customer service representative will act as the liaison between the customers, outside representatives, engineering, and other
personnel within the company.
Essential Responsibilities/Tasks: (may vary with specific positions, this list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary)
• Receive a high volume of telephone and email requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, cancellations, and return material authorizations.
• Generate quotations on standard and custom items; quotes may range from simple verbal quotations or may involve technical documents supplied by the customer.
• Write orders, and relay pertinent order information to customers, sales reps, and other internal departments.
• Respond positively to customer inquiries, which are sometimes controversial or adversarial. Continuously improve practices and services.
• Communicate with our customers and agents to answer technical questions.
• Utilize corporate custom software for entering orders, and quotes, reviewing customer payment history, checking available credit, etc.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate responses to inquiries, and concerns, and troubleshoot customer problems.
• Aids in resolving customer concerns and/or issues.
• Cross-referencing of part numbers, serial numbers, and pricing.
• Interact with other departments in the company to ensure the proper handling of customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with supervisors, sales reps, customers, and co workers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• EPICOR Manufacturing software a huge plus
• This position requires excellent oral and written skills when communicating with customers, sales agents, and EMI employees. All communication must be professional, courteous, and respectful.
• Ability and knowledge to accurately read and interpret US measurements.
• Improves practices and services.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; monitors own work.
Minimum Qualifications, Training, and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED equivalency; preferably supplemented with coursework in writing, math, or other business applications.
• Minimum of 2 years of general clerical experience, preferably in a customer service position; any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the
work.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.
• This position requires utilizing manufacturing customer/order, quoting, and database software.
