Sales Representative


Location: Solon, OH

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Pay: $100,000/year

Position Type: Direct Hire


Summary

Achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products. Secure new customers and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Make phone calls and in-person visits to promote products
  • Research and identify potential customers
  • Prepare clear and effective proposals and quotations
  • Track monthly and annual sales figures and analyze trends
  • Develop annual business plans and strategies to meet sales quotas
  • Provide management with reports on customer needs and competitive activities
  • Resolve customer issues promptly
  • Stay informed on product applications, market conditions, and promotional trends
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions
  • Maintain customer information in CRM software
  • Contribute to team efforts and adhere to company policies

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and consultative sales skills
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Background in manufacturing sales preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of sales experience (non-ferrous metals knowledge preferred)

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs.)

Additional info

  • % of travel is 10% or less (1 trade show per year, 2-3 sales trips per year (US travel only). 
  • Will need to make cold calls.


Rate of pay of $100,000 per year is broken down as follows: 30k paid in bi-weekly installments = 1153 per pay period +70k guaranteed commission = Commissions are paid monthly based on sales levels and will vary. Beginning year 2, he/she will get $30k and whatever he/she actually earns in commission. Quarterly bonuses based upon a percentage of total profit on orders.


Looking for someone with some metal sales and not just buying and reselling. That, combined with a background in manufacturing. If no metal sales experience, the manufacturing background is fine, but it has to be more than just selling parts. Someone who can visualize and see how things are being used and made is very helpful and important
