Job description

West Shore Animal Hospital is looking for a full-time associate veterinarian to join our well established, busy, three doctor, companion animal practice located in the wonderful lake town of Denver, NC. Denver is a progressive suburb of Charlotte that is quickly growing. There is a small town feel with a quick and easy drive to Charlotte or Huntersville for a night out in the town. Denver is loaded with great restaurants and places to hang out. Not only do we have immediate access to the lake, but we are also a quick 1.5 hour drive up to the mountains (Boone, Blowing Rock, Black Mountain, Asheville). Not sure where you want to spend your free time? Don’t worry, we have it all! Not only is Denver a wonderful town to live in but also a great town to raise a family. Did we mention the amazing school system?

We are a progressive, growing clinic that always puts our patient’s care first while striving to meet every expectation of the client. We want to make sure we offer the best, fear-free experience possible from the time our clients and their pets walk through the door until they leave. We have long-term clients as well as long-term staff members. We focus on exceptional veterinary medical care using the most progressive medicine possible from a puppy’s first visit to our geriatric crew. We are equipped with IDEXX Blood, Chemistry, and Urine Analyzers, digital x-ray, ultrasound system, cold laser, digital dental x-ray and a high-speed dental unit. We utilize ImproMed Infinity for our computer-based records. We have 4 exam rooms, a spacious surgery suite, an x-ray/ultrasound room, and a fully stocked pharmacy. We have a spacious treatment area where no one feels overcrowded with 2 exam tables as well as 2 wet tables. We also have a fully fenced boarding area in the backyard so all our boarders can get in their exercise during their stay. Our boarding consists of a cat room, a small dog boarding room, and 9 full sized runs for our big friends or multi-pet households. We strive to give our boarders the most comfortable, stress-free environment possible.

We are offering a generous employee benefits package with the opportunity to partake in our group retirement plan, health insurance plan with vision and dental insurance, CE allowance, vacation/sick time and a salary commensurate with experience. New grads are welcome, and mentorship is 100% available!
