General Laborers – Maintenance Support

Shift: Full-time, First Shift (Mon–Fri)

Duration: Through end of year (possible extension with permanent consideration for excellent employees)

Summary:

Provide essential, hands-on support to the Maintenance Department within our clean, safe manufacturing facility. This is an excellent entry point to learn various aspects of industrial facility maintenance, working directly under a skilled Maintenance Technician who will provide guidance and supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general 5S/work area organization and housekeeping (sweeping, operating a floor scrubber, and general cleanup).
• Assemble shelving units, install fixtures, and perform general facility upkeep and minor repairs.
• Use hand and power tools under supervision to secure equipment and complete facility tasks.
• Actively assist Maintenance Technicians with basic machine and equipment maintenance, serving as a critical support role (e.g., fetching tools, preparing the work area, and ensuring clear sightlines).
• Operate a forklift as needed (certification provided on-site, if necessary).
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain high standards of work area cleanliness.

Requirements:

• Reliable attendance and consistent, diligent work habits are mandatory.
• Physically capable of regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 35 lbs. (light to moderate) throughout the shift.
• Basic familiarity and comfort using standard hand and power tools (e.g., wrenches, drills, saws).
• Strong willingness to learn and assist across varied maintenance activities.
• Forklift experience preferred.
