Machine Operator - 2nd shift

Set up and Operate descriptions:
- Install the tooling for the setup
- The tooling is put in the proper place per the setup sheets
- Adjust the machine to make good pieces
- Have QC check the parts to ensure the setup is making good pieces
- Lifting a maximum of 50lbs. 1 to 2 time per week depending on the setup and the number of setups
- Standing for 6 hours a day
- Manual dexterity for machine adjustments
- Check pieces to the quality standards and then dump a 4lbs. basket
- Adjust the machine as required to keep the parts in tolerance
- Change tooling as needed
- Computer checks at required on the QC procedure documents
- Load the machine
- Maintain the machine in good working order
- Tumble parts for burrs and eliminating chips
- Place the parts on a skid
- Take the parts to QC when the skid is full
- Lifting maximum of 35lbs. 4 to 6 times per shift
- Standing 6+ hours a day
- Manual dexterity for adjustments and loading of the machine
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk at least 1/2 mile per day (inside shop or between buildings)
- Ability to Stand at least 6 hours a day
- Able to do two handed operations including typing, and routine lifting/moving of35-pound bars & buckets of parts throughout the whole shift and 50-pounds 1-2 times per week depending on the setup and the number of setups
- Adequate Hearing in order to be able to hear verbal instructions
- Has clear eye vision at least 20/40 (wearing glasses) in order to adequately inspect parts (vision within 3 feet must be excellent to see quality issues)
Training Requirements
- Computer literacy as there is extensive use of proprietary software in the job
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints related to products being received

Must be able to use and understand standard measuring devices & equipment as required in written instructions: This includes calipers, micrometers, pitch micrometers, hardness testers, thread gages, and various specialized hand gages as well as comparators.
- Must be able to read at the sixth-grade level, and understand written instructions
- Must be able to understand quality requirements per written and verbal instructions
- Must pass all related ISO training within the first month on the job
Attendance Requirements
• The employee must be at the workstation, ready for task assignment or working at the assigned task. at the beginning of the paid start time
• The employee must work a full eight-hour shift. or other assigned shift, each scheduled working day
• The employee is expected to report to work for overtime hours when requested
• The employee must punch in no later than the scheduled start time, and no earlier than the end of the scheduled time
