Regional Sales Manager
Job Description
Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through direct sales activities within an assigned territory while recruiting, developing, and leading a team of sales representatives. This role combines individual contributor responsibilities with sales leadership, ensuring achievement of company revenue, profitability, compliance, and customer retention objectives. This role requires hazardous waste services sales experience.
Key Responsibilities
Authority and Decision-Making
The Regional Sales Manager may recruit candidates, manage onboarding and training, supervise personnel, manage daily sales activities, and recommend employment actions. CEO approval is required for employment offers, compensation changes, pricing exceptions, and independent sales policy decisions.
Team Development and Training
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for implementing and overseeing onboarding programs covering company orientation, regulatory awareness, waste profiling and characterization, pricing and quoting procedures, CRM utilization, customer service expectations, and safety training.
Performance Expectations
Success will be measured through revenue growth, gross margin achievement, customer acquisition and retention, team performance, CRM compliance, leadership effectiveness, employee retention, and achievement of annual business objectives.
Reporting Requirements
Provide bi-weekly pipeline and opportunity reports, monthly sales and margin reports, hiring updates, forecasts, and quarterly business reviews including headcount and growth recommendations.
Qualifications
5-7 Years of Hazardous Waste Services sales experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred. Demonstrated sales success, strong communication skills, leadership capability, industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a growth-oriented environment.
Compensation: Base salary plus individual sales commission. Additional team-based commission opportunities may apply in accordance with company compensation policies and approved commission plans.
