Director of Sales – Full-Service Hotel

 Compensation: Up to $95,000 + Bonus
We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales to lead the hotel’s revenue growth and business development initiatives for a full-service property in Edison, NJ. In this role, you will oversee the hotel’s sales team, driving performance across all market segments, expanding client relationships, and positioning the hotel as a top choice for meetings, events, and stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the property’s sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
- Develop and execute innovative sales plans to grow revenue, increase market share, and attract new business.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate accounts, travel planners, associations, and local businesses.
- Partner with the General Manager and operational teams to ensure exceptional client experiences and seamless event execution.
- Prepare and monitor annual sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, networking functions, and community organizations.
- Utilize CRM systems, market intelligence, and competitive analysis to guide proactive business strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hotel sales experience, ideally within a full-service or branded property.
- Demonstrated success in business development, revenue growth, and client relationship management.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and guide a sales team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with Delphi or brand CRM systems preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field is a plus.
