Assistant Banquet Manager

Harrisburg, PA | Full-Time

Salary: $50,000–$60,000 + gratuities

Are you a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in fast-paced event environments and takes pride in delivering flawless guest experiences? A well-established full-service hotel in the Harrisburg market is seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager to help lead banquet and event operations for meetings, weddings, conferences, and social functions.

This role is ideal for a service-driven professional who enjoys coaching teams, managing details, and being present on the floor to ensure every event exceeds expectations.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support banquet staff during all phases of events, from setup to breakdown
  • Ensure function rooms are properly staged according to event orders and brand standards
  • Act as the primary on-site point of contact during events, coordinating with culinary, beverage, engineering, and event teams
  • Motivate, train, and develop banquet team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, attendance, payroll hours, and gratuity distribution
  • Handle POS billing and final guest checks with accuracy and professionalism
  • Step in to personally service smaller functions when required
  • Promote a respectful, team-oriented workplace culture


What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in food & beverage or banquet operations
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience in a hospitality setting preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Professional, positive demeanor with a guest-first mindset
  • Comfortable working nights, weekends, and event-driven schedules
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and Microsoft Office
