Credit Analyst / Sr. Credit Analyst

They are seeking a Credit Analyst / Sr. Credit Analyst within the Commercial Lending Department to support continued growth and credit team expansion. Role and Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze creditworthiness of all commercial loan originations (including but not limited to CRE, residential real estate, Bridge & Construction loans, C&I loans, and SBA loans) and renewals by evaluating underlying real estate, rent roll(s), financial statements, balance sheets, and creating financial models and spreads of company and personal financial statements and tax returns into C3bank approved format.
  • Prepare underwriting memos focused on key risk factors, repayment sources, cash flow, and ability to service debt.
  • Assess Borrower’s ability to repay debt and comply with financial covenants.
  • Evaluating financial statements and tax returns, historical trends, projections, management performance, industry, cash flow, capital structure and collateral analysis.
  • Understanding of real estate specific risks and external factors impacting values and underwriting.
  • Spreading of financial statements, both business and personal.
  • Appropriately assign accurate regulatory risk ratings prior to loan origination.
  • Ordering, reviewing and analyzing reports (credit, environmental, appraisal, and property evaluations).
  • Work with various internal and external teams to coordinate customer due diligence, documentation, and loan closing processes.
  • Support customer inquiry and elevate concerns to management as needed.
  • Proactively identify credit issues or challenges in the underwriting process and recommend ways to further mitigate risks.
  • Review, understand, and adhere to C3bank Human Resources, Information Technology, Credit, and other related policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of banking, regulatory requirements, lending products, and credit.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in commercial real estate, finance, or a related field.
  • 3-10 years of experience in CRE underwriting, acquisitions, and/or C&I loan underwriting.
  • Formal commercial credit or cash flow training a plus.
  • Customer service experience and the ability to monitor a portfolio of accounts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; critical decision-making skills and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), IBISWorld, Costar. FISERV and Blooma experience a plus.
  • Team player with positive attitude and willing to grow and learn.
  • Position is on-site and in office.
