Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Document Commercial, Consumer, Agricultural, Asset Based, and Real Estate Construction Loans (New/Renewals/Extensions/Modifications)
  • Reviews and interprets credit approval, including verification of proper lending authority.
  • Review documentation requests with loan covenants, subordination requests, and other supporting documents such as articles of incorporation, preliminary title reports, flood certification, and UCC filings. 
  • Assures the accuracy of completed documents to bind and protect the Bank in various commercial credit transactions.
  • Review the loan documentation request for required information and request additional documentation and/or supporting documents as required.
  • Compiles and prepares proper commercial and consumer loan documents on the loan documentation software      (LaserPro) for the submitted credit request within the pre-established service level agreements.
  • Submits prepared loan documents per Bank policy and procedures for final review.
  • Forwards completed documentation package to the Loan Officer for execution.
  • Review lien searches and title work to validate and ensure proper lien priority.
  • Communicate directly with the Loan Officer and branch Loan Assistants as necessary, to ensure appropriate, complete, and accurate loan documents are prepared with the proper level of lending authority. 

2. Maintain the daily Documentation and Boarding Log

3. Monthly Certification of Cashier’s Checks & Quarterly Certification of the Dual Control (Assignment of Notes/Life Insurance/Stocks/Bonds)

4. Performs other tasks as assigned in the loan service center or as deemed necessary. 

Requirements

  

1. Two to Three Years experience in Commercial Loan Documentation.

2. Preferred, but not required experience in loan servicing or other customer service positions.

3. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize and work independently as well in a team environment.

  1. General understanding of loan structure and loan documentation.
  2. Must be analytical, and detail-oriented with advanced research and problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  5. Working knowledge of personal computers and specific software pertaining to job assignments.
  6. Preferred, but not required: LaserPro, Fiserv Premier, and CA Notary License.
  7. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience required.
