Job Title: Senior Commercial Lender - C&I Lending

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Lender specializing in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending to join our community bank. This role focuses on building and managing a portfolio of commercial loans/relationships while providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C&I lending, credit training or background, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of C&I loans, focusing on small to medium sized businesses.
• Assess creditworthiness, analyze financial statements, and structure loans to meet client needs while ensuring compliance with bank policies.
• Build strong relationships with new and existing clients, identifying opportunities for cross-selling other bank products and services.
• Collaborate closely with credit analysts, underwriters, and other team members to ensure smooth loan processing and exceptional client service.
• Represent the bank in the community, attending networking events and promoting the bank’s commercial lending services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial lending with a proven track record of business development and portfolio management.
• Strong credit analysis skills with the ability to structure complex commercial loans (ability to preflight loan).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and loan documentation processes.
