Territory Sales Manager (Cutting Tools)
Overview
 An established and well-respected cutting tool manufacturer is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to lead sales efforts within a defined regional territory. This individual will work closely with distributors and key manufacturing accounts to deliver world-class cutting tool solutions supported by unmatched service, product quality, and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales activities and drive growth across assigned territory through both direct and distributor-based channels.
- Partner with distributors and manufacturing customers to promote a full line of precision-engineered standard and special-application cutting tools.
- Provide technical support, training, and education-based selling to help customers optimize tool performance and productivity.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with distributor principals and sales teams, conducting joint calls and planning sessions to increase market share.
- Identify top manufacturing accounts and establish Centers of Excellence or reference sites for product demonstrations.
- Document and communicate cost-savings initiatives to end users and distributors.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
- Maintain a professional, solutions-driven approach while representing the company with integrity and enthusiasm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience (3–5+ years).
- Proven sales success within the cutting tool, industrial distribution, or metalworking sector.
- Strong technical aptitude with hands-on understanding of machining applications.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a large territory, prioritize accounts, and maintain a disciplined travel schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to train, educate, and motivate distributor partners.
