Buyer – South Oxfordshire.


BlueGate Consulting has partnered with a manufacturing company in South Oxfordshire.


Reporting directly to the Purchasing Team Leader the Buyer will support the procurement function to achieve business goals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To buy materials and services at the best competitive pricing in accordance with the required quality, quantity, delivery instructions, and other business requirements.
  • To investigate alternative suppliers offering equivalent goods on cost-effective terms.
  • Negotiate the prices with business partners to ensure and achieve price competency.
  • To fulfill all the prerequisites before releasing purchase orders to the suppliers/ service providers.
  • To coordinate with suppliers/ service providers for timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with business partners.

Requirements:


  • The candidate should have proven purchasing experience.
  • Demonstrated negotiating skills and knowledge of supply chain management
  • Computer literate
