POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Director of Business Partnerships & Platforms will own the strategy, growth, and performance of the partner ecosystem. This includes deepening relationships with existing partners, identifying and activating new ones, and developing joint go-to-market initiatives that drive mutual value. The ideal candidate brings a blend of commercial savvy, technical understanding, and strategic partnership experience within fintech, payments, or financial services.


They are growing fast and looking for a strategic, relationship-driven leader to expand and strengthen their partner and platform ecosystem.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Partner Management & Growth (60%)

  • Manage and expand revenue from existing partners and embedded platforms.
  • Develop joint business plans, set shared KPIs, and drive co-marketing or co-selling opportunities.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and performance evaluations.
  • Support technical enablement and solution integration with platform partners.


New Partner Acquisition (30%)

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new strategic partners and distribution platforms.
  • Build the business case for partnership opportunities including TAM, integration value, and revenue potential.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contracting, and implementation handoffs.


Strategy & Enablement (10%)

  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing to align partner strategies with core go-to-market objectives.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends and competitor landscapes to inform partner development efforts.
  • Build internal frameworks for measuring and reporting partner impact on revenue.


PREFERRED PROFILE:


Required:

  • 7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or platform strategy within financial services, fintech, payments, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of managing and expanding revenue-generating partnerships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating contracts and structuring deals.
  • Exceptional relationship management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage complex partner ecosystems, and thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.


Preferred:

               • Experience with account validation, payment processing, fraud prevention, or open banking solutions.

               • Familiarity with API-based platform integrations or BaaS partnerships.

               • Prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment.


LOCATION: Remote or hybrid (3x a week) if local to Alpharetta, GA
