POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support the firm's attorneys in a high-volume subrogation practice. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in a personal injury or insurance defense law firm who enjoys working in a fast-paced litigation environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation support
- Draft discovery requests and responses based on the firm’s forms
- Prepare motions, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents using the firm’s forms
- Manage case files and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate and track litigation deadlines
- File legal documents with state and federal courts
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties
- Organize claim files and other case-related documents
- Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience as a Paralegal, Litigation Legal Assistant, or similar legal support role
- Required: Experience working in a personal injury or insurance defense law firm. Civil Litigation firm (minimum 2-years) – subrogation work
- Experience preparing discovery, motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents
- Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
