This company is a civil litigation law firm located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, specializing in automobile and property subrogation matters. The firm represents several major national and regional insurance companies, handling litigation throughout the state of Ohio. POSITION OVERVIEW:


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support the firm's attorneys in a high-volume subrogation practice. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in a personal injury or insurance defense law firm who enjoys working in a fast-paced litigation environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation support
  • Draft discovery requests and responses based on the firm’s forms
  • Prepare motions, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents using the firm’s forms
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate documentation
  • Coordinate and track litigation deadlines
  • File legal documents with state and federal courts
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties
  • Organize claim files and other case-related documents
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Previous experience as a Paralegal, Litigation Legal Assistant, or similar legal support role
  • Required: Experience working in a personal injury or insurance defense law firm. Civil Litigation firm (minimum 2-years) – subrogation work
  • Experience preparing discovery, motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
