Studio Manager

The opportunity

We’re partnering with a growing boutique fitness brand to find a Studio Manager for one of its Cambridge-area locations. This studio is a place where people come to move, build strength, and find a community that keeps them coming back.

You’ll lead both the business and the experience behind it: welcoming new faces, helping members make the studio part of their lives, and giving instructors the support they need to do their best work. You’ll have the autonomy to bring your own ideas to the community, backed by a regional team and established teacher-training resources.

What you’ll do

• Lead the day-to-day running of the studio, including the member experience, class schedule, front desk, retail, and facility standards.
• Grow attendance, memberships, and revenue by connecting with prospective members, turning trial visits into lasting relationships, and making the most of every class.
• Hire, coach, and schedule instructors, maintaining consistent class quality and reliable coverage. Teach or cover a class occasionally when needed.
• Create events and community traditions that give people more reasons to connect with the studio and each other.
• Develop specialty classes, workshops, or teacher-training opportunities that respond to what members want.
• Manage the studio budget, including labor, retail, inventory, and operating expenses, and use performance data to spot opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with regional leadership to share what you’re learning and help shape how the wider business grows.

What success looks like

Members feel recognized from their first visit and want to return. Classes are well attended, the instructor team feels supported, and the studio runs smoothly. You’ll help grow revenue and retention while making this a place people feel part of.

What you’ll bring

• Experience growing attendance or membership in a boutique fitness or wellness studio, ideally in barre, yoga, or a similar setting.
• Hands-on experience hiring, coaching, and scheduling instructors while maintaining a high standard of teaching.
• Confidence with studio finances, including revenue, labor, retail, and monthly expenses.
• A natural ability to welcome people, listen well, and follow through when a member needs help.
• Willingness to teach or cover classes occasionally and to be present in the studio.
