We are partnering with a high-energy, guest-driven BBQ and live entertainment concept that brings together bold flavors, scratch cooking, and a vibrant atmosphere. This team is building a kitchen culture centered around execution, pride, and consistency—and they are looking for a strong Sous Chef to help lead from the front.
As Sous Chef, you will serve as a key operational partner to the Chef de Cuisine, helping lead day-to-day kitchen execution while supporting team development and maintaining high culinary standards.
This position is ideal for someone who leads by example, stays composed under pressure, and takes ownership during service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily kitchen operations alongside culinary leadership
- Lead shifts and oversee execution during service
- Train, coach, and mentor back-of-house team members
- Ensure consistency in recipes, prep standards, and plating
- Assist with ordering, inventory management, and food cost controls
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance
- Provide hands-on support across all stations including expo, line, and prep
- Help implement systems that improve efficiency and consistency
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a professional kitchen (Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Lead Line)
- High-volume restaurant experience strongly preferred
- Strong sense of urgency with the ability to stay calm during peak service
- Team-focused leadership style with a hands-on approach
- Passion for BBQ and scratch cooking environments
- Detail-oriented with strong execution standards
- Interest in long-term growth toward a Chef de Cuisine role
