Director of Safety & Risk

Salary: 110k to 120k plus 10% bonus



Overview

This role will lead enterprise-wide efforts across risk, safety, compliance, and insurance programs, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify, mitigate, and manage operational risk across multiple locations.


Key Responsibilities

• Oversee workers’ compensation, general liability, and claims management programs

• Partner with legal, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators on claims and risk mitigation

• Lead and enhance restaurant safety programs (workplace safety, incident prevention, training)

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (OSHA and related standards)

• Analyze incident and loss trends to drive proactive risk strategies

• Support development of enterprise risk initiatives and reporting

• Collaborate with Operations, HR, and other leadership teams to strengthen safety culture and compliance


Requirements:

• 7–10+ years of experience in risk management, safety, or compliance leadership

• Background in multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality environments

• Strong experience with workers’ comp, claims management, and insurance programs

• Ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level

• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
