Job Title: Orthopedic Spine Surgeon

Location: Mesa, AZ

Hours & Schedule: Full-Time

Work Environment: Elective orthopedic practice, 2 days clinic + 2–3 days OR (flexible volume-based)

Travel Required: No

Salary / Hourly Rate: $400,000 - $650,000 / year

Bonus Offered: RVU-based bonus

Sign On Bonus / Relocation Offer: Negotiable

On Call Required: Yes – 1:3 call schedule, only for own patients, with a PA triaging

Job Summary:

The Orthopedic Spine Surgeon is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating spinal disorders through both surgical and nonsurgical methods. The role involves working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on patient outcomes, surgical excellence, and long-term spinal health. The surgeon will perform advanced spinal procedures, manage pre- and post-operative care, and contribute to the overall success of the spine program.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat a range of spinal conditions including disc herniations, deformities, fractures, and degenerative disorders
  • Perform complex and minimally invasive spinal surgeries, including multilevel fusions
  • Evaluate patients in clinic through imaging review, physical assessments, and consultation
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with APPs and therapy teams
  • Participate in a 1:3 call schedule for your own patients with PA triage support
  • Monitor post-operative recovery and adjust care plans as necessary
  • Stay current with advancements in spinal surgery through continuing education
  • Contribute to research initiatives and clinical improvement programs when possible
  • Maintain compliance with medical, legal, and ethical standards of care


Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Fellowship-Trained in Spine Surgery
  • Active Arizona MD or DO License (or ability to obtain)
