Job Summary:
The Psychiatrist will provide outpatient and/or inpatient psychiatric care to a diverse patient population. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing psychiatric disorders in a clinical setting. You will work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and improve overall mental health services in the community.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Provide patient and family education on mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Valid Arizona medical license or the ability to obtain one before starting.
- DEA certification.
