Medical Assistant – Certified

Location: Mesa, Arizona

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Setting: Neurology Practice

Travel: None

Compensation: $18 – $25/hour (DOE)

About the Position

An established neurology practice in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join its patient-centered clinical team. This role is ideal for a skilled MA who thrives in a structured, supportive environment and is committed to providing high-quality care. You will support daily clinical operations, assist physicians, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients, collect and document vital signs, and support smooth patient flow
  • Assist with procedures including injections, blood draws, and EMG preparation
  • Manage scheduling, patient calls, prescription refill requests, and prior authorizations
  • Coordinate with external providers, labs, and diagnostic facilities
  • Maintain exam rooms, manage medical supplies, and oversee clinic equipment such as autoclaves and centrifuges
  • Process urine drug screens and handle specimen preparation for urine, blood, spinal fluid, and tissue samples
  • Accurately document patient information and prepare result letters and communication


Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Certified Medical Assistant credential (required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of Medical Assistant experience (required)
  • AED certification preferred
  • Strong skills in patient interaction, communication, organization, and multitasking
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform routine clinical tasks
  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and high-quality patient care
