PD 3: Communications Specialist – Skill Level 4 – HDF (NGA-W)
Duties Include:
- Developing messages for potentially the entire NGA workforce.
- Crafting senior messages and talking points for various target audiences
- Implementing the HD Strategic Plan
- Provide presentation support to Office leadership to include message intent, developing targeted/tailored graphical concept and designs
- Preparing and supporting the development of Town Halls including preparing answers to questions posed at the Town Halls.
- Use written and verbal skills to create a wide range of products and corporate communication material.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations or communication
- At least 12 months demonstrated experience with SharePoint, updating web content and using electronic publishing applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator or Adobe Pro
- At least 12 months demonstrated experience using APA style writing and editing
- At least 12 months demonstrated experience planning and executing senior leaders’ (General/Flag Officer, SES, or corporate equivalent) speaking events and crafting Q&A responses
- At least 48 months demonstrated experience in communications strategy development
