Role
The Vice President, will serve as a critical member of the executive leadership team, re directly to the Senior Vice Presidents of and Urban Systems. This role is responsible for building and then overseeing all aspects of across a folio of high-value projects throughout the Eastern United States. With full profit and loss accountability for the units, this executive will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, ensuring client satisfaction, and achieving strategic objectives.
This is a pivotal leadership position that blends high-level strategic thinking with deep operational execution. The Vice President will be charged with building and scaling a best-in-class project delivery organization, capable of suping both current and future growth. This includes recruiting, developing, and retaining senior operational talent; building strong client relationships; implementing efficient processes and systems; and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and financial performance.
Scope
Specific Duties include:
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the company’s operational capabilities across the Eastern United States, including building a high-performing team capable of scaling from single- to multi-project execution.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top industry talent; foster a strong organizational culture focused on performance, engagement, and low turnover.
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and risk management for all major projects, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to sup project delivery, resolve issues, and drive new opps
- Lead the of competitive bids and accurate estimates, ensuring favorable risk profiles and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Ensure the implementation of company-wide processes, standards, and scalable operational practices that sup consistency and growth.
- Participate in project and risk review meetings; continuously assess organizational structure and performance to ensure alignment with goals.
- Collaborate with finance, , and operational leaders to manage forecasting, cash flow, working capital, and procurement strategies.
- Champion a culture of safety and quality, ensuring all projects meet or exceed performance standards and regulatory requirements.
Specific Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in or a related industry, ideally within large, , and multidisciplinary operating environments.
- Post-secondary degree in Management, or a related field; Professional designation or equivalent certification is considered an asset.
- Proven track record overseeing full P&L responsibility, with demonstrated success in managing both revenue growth and cost control to drive profitability.
- Skilled in leading project execution with a strong understanding of contract law, licensing, and legislative requirements.
- Experienced in with a history of expanding into new or existing markets and maintaining deep knowledge of current and emerging industry trends.
- Adept at managing and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders, including joint ventures, competitors, and clients, with strong skills in dispute resolution and strategic partnerships.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing, cross-functional teams within matrixed organizations and secure alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with M&A activities, including conducting due diligence and leading integration efforts post-acquisition or divestiture.
