The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Controller to join our client's dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their financial records, enhancing their accounting processes, and supporting the overall financial health of the company during a period of exciting growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical accounting background and a passion for the tech industry to contribute significantly to their success.


What You'll Do:

  • Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows.
  • Develop and implement efficient accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to optimize financial operations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of business transactions.
  • Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Participate in the implementation and optimization of financial systems and tools.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff (if applicable).
  • Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required.


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a tech company or a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP) and experience with complex accounting issues.
  • Proficiency with large ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.
