The 2nd shift Maintenance technician ensures the optimal functioning of all equipment, machines, and mechanical systems within the state of the art mattress manufacturing facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests during 2nd shift operations
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on schedule
• Assist with equipment changeovers and setups as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Document all maintenance activities in the CMMS system
• Follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures

Experience

• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or

production environment.

Familiarity with:

• Mechanical systems
• Electrical systems
• Pneumatics and hydraulics
• Basic PLC troubleshooting
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals and diagrams

Other Requirements

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during 2nd shift
• Strong troubleshooting skills and adaptability to changing priorities
• Effective communication with production and other maintenance staff
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
