Great opportunity to join an established accounting firm located in downtown Calgary. We are looking for an individual with substantial hands-on experience who would like to grow their career from staff to senior accountant, with the opportunity to work toward Manager, allowing you to demonstrate your technical knowledge and expertise and build on your leadership experience!

With a long list of diverse clients, which includes private sector businesses, professional corporations, consultants, and oil and gas service companies, our client offers learning, stability and longevity in the workplace.

As a small-to-mid-size firm, this position requires a “Hands-On” approach to every client interaction, from the introduction of services to an overview of expectations and the completion of the file through to billing and collection. This position will offer a full array of accounting duties, including, but not limited to, the preparation of working paper files, including financial statements, corporate income tax, payroll deductions, GST returns and personal tax returns, utilizing QuickBooks / Simply Accounting, XERO, Caseware and Taxprep. You will be required to be both an overseer and a “Doer.” 

To qualify for this position, you will have a minimum of 3 years of experience with full-cycle accounting experience within a public accounting firm, have exposure to industry-specific software, have fluid communication skills, be organized and be able to demonstrate a solid daily work plan and be comfortable communicating with client queries. Ideally, you will have completed a Bachelor’s degree and be well on your way to achieving the CPA or have recently been designated.
