We have a fantastic opportunity to join an established accounting firm in the heart of Kensington. We are looking for a new Manager, either newly promoted or a seasoned professional with a demonstrated track record working with small to mid-size business owners, learning and understanding their business challenges and offering financial accounting, personal, and corporate tax solutions while collaborating on business strategy and planning. This position allows for professional development and a better work-life balance often associated with a smaller public accounting firm.
Being a small firm, you will be "Hands-On" with client interaction, from introducing services to an overview of expectations and completing files through to billing and collection. You will be accountable for reviewing and overseeing working paper files, including financial statements, corporate income tax, payroll deductions, GST returns and personal tax returns utilizing XERO, QuickBooks / Simply Accounting, Caseware and Taxprep. You will work with clients on overseeing their business plans, tax planning and overall quality of work.
To qualify for this position; you will have a minimum of 7 plus years of experience within a public accounting firm, have fluid communication skills, have strong organization skills, and able to demonstrate a solid daily work plan, and be comfortable communicating with the clients' queries. We require completion of the CPA, CGA or CA certifications, as this is an experienced accountant position.
