Position Overview:

A highly motivated and experienced Controller is sought to lead the Finance team and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, driven to improve efficiency, and skilled at motivating teams to exceed expectations. In this role, the Controller oversees all aspects of financial management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement. The position is responsible for shaping financial strategy, supporting business objectives, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee general accounting functions, including monthly close and reconciliations.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, identifying trends and variances to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and tax depreciation schedules, ensuring accurate accounting treatment.
  • Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial integrity and mitigate risk.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes for greater efficiency.
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and cost allocation systems to support business objectives.
  • Oversee cash management and ensure compliance with financial covenants.
  • Partner with the CFO to prepare and present key financial and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of six years of accounting experience.
  • Background in logistics or manufacturing required.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience developing and motivating teams.
  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and fixed asset management.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with general accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


Salary Range: $150k - $170k
