A dynamic New York-based company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team. This role is central to supporting the accounting functions and maintaining accurate financial records, contributing to the company’s financial integrity and operational success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month-end close processes by completing entries and accruals to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
  • Generate comprehensive inventory reports and prepare related journal entries for month-end across multiple channels, including e-commerce, wholesale, and retail.
  • Perform meticulous reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring documentation is thorough and aligned with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review monthly rent payments for retail locations, verifying compliance with lease terms.
  • Manage intercompany transaction reconciliations to ensure precise financial data across business units.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, offering insights to enhance financial planning efforts.
  • Support audit activities by gathering required documentation and details.
  • Contribute to ad hoc tasks and special projects as needed.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a solid foundation in GAAP.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience; a blend of public accounting and corporate experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Experience in the fashion or apparel industry is advantageous, though not essential.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mindset with exposure to systems integration.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships within and outside the company.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach, capable of independently managing and executing tasks.
