The Role
- Support the review of various tax filings and compliance activities across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
- Assist with calculations and processes related to tax payments, extensions, and other recurring deadlines.
- Work with financial data to prepare information needed for compliance, reporting, and analysis.
- Contribute to the development of training and resources that promote tax awareness within the organization.
- Coordinate with advisors and internal teams to gather information and respond to requests in a timely manner.
- Help design and maintain reporting tools that provide clarity and insight into complex financial and tax information.
- Participate in internal control activities, ensuring documentation and compliance with policies.
- Maintain accurate records related to customer tax matters and exemptions.
- Conduct research on tax developments and support planning for business transactions.
- Provide assistance with audits and inquiries from regulatory authorities.
- Support external reporting requirements and help with new or evolving disclosure needs.
- Assist with month-end and year-end activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Take on ad hoc projects and other responsibilities as needed.
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related area.
- 2–3 years of tax experience in public accounting or industry.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data and reporting tools.
- CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
- Familiarity with tax provision processes and corporate reporting is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to changing priorities.
