The Senior Claim Specialist will manage the claims process for clients from start to finish, aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for both internal and external clients. This role requires an experienced claims professional who can operate with minimal supervision and consistently deliver exceptional service. Exposure to a wide variety of claims is a plus. The ideal candidate must be a quick learner, capable of handling significant volume and competing demands while maintaining timeliness and accuracy in managing responsibilities. The position will primarily focus on handling personal lines claims for high-net-worth individuals.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Handle competing demands and unpredictable situations with ease.
  • Manage high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Maintain a pleasant demeanor and work well in a team environment, understanding that collaboration is key to the department's success.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism when dealing with a challenging client base.
  • Support the Director of Claims and manage the claims process for all assigned responsibilities.
  • Identify and resolve intermediate to complex coverage issues.
  • Exhibit tenacity in handling difficult situations until they are resolved positively and in the client's favor when possible.
  • Conduct desk reviews.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with adjusters at partnered carriers.
  • Interface with carrier Claim Account Executives.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with internal Account Executive Teams.
  • Manage specific accounts autonomously with minimal supervision from the Director of Claims.
  • Maintain thorough documentation on all claims in AMS.
  • Ensure claims are properly monitored by maintaining claims diaries in AMS.
  • Develop independent relationships with clients with oversight from the Director of Claims.
  • Negotiate favorable results for clients in all aspects of claims disposition.
  • Analyze data from various carrier systems to assist in the renewal process with Account Executive teams.
  • Coordinate and conduct claim reviews.
  • Lead claim closure projects.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects to support the Claims Director.



Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in handling claims related to Auto, General Liability, Property, and Workers Compensation. Solely Property experience is not acceptable.
  • Possess commercial lines experience; personal lines experience is a plus but not sufficient on its own.
  • Be solution-oriented and focused on resolving issues positively.
  • Show proficiency in AMS; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
  • Possess a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the field.
