Hire Point Recruiting is partnering with a client seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to lead procurement strategy and purchasing operations across the organization.

This individual will be responsible for driving material cost savings, strengthening supplier performance, negotiating vendor agreements, improving purchasing processes, and supporting inventory and material availability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and purchasing strategies
• Lead supplier negotiations and manage key vendor relationships
• Identify and execute material cost-reduction opportunities
• Improve supplier performance and purchasing efficiency
• Support material standardization and preferred vendor initiatives
• Oversee purchasing operations and help reduce emergency purchasing
• Partner with internal stakeholders on inventory optimization and material availability
• Develop and monitor procurement reporting and performance metrics
• Lead and develop the procurement function

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 10+ years of procurement or purchasing experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Construction industry experience required
• Experience working with ERP systems and procurement analytics
• Strong supplier negotiation and cost-management experience
