As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team.

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department's day-to-day operations. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and contributing to the overall success of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger Management:

  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
  • Assist in the preparation of payment runs and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Participate in financial audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with tax filings and other regulatory compliance requirements.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and analysis as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
  • Provide support to the finance team in various tasks and projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
