The Senior Financial Analyst will leverage their expertise in finance to develop and enhance processes and practices, specifically targeting direct-to-consumer operations. Key responsibilities include forecasting, budgeting, pinpointing cost reduction opportunities, and evaluating operational performance. This role involves working across various channels, including retail, e-commerce, and wholesale.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with retail teams to revise monthly sales and expense forecasts for the company's retail network and online sales channels.
  • Develop comprehensive forecasts for staffing needs and costs for the stores.
  • Support the month-end closing process by reviewing and recording journal entries, providing analytical support, and updating budgets for various departments.
  • Analyze and compare actual financial results with the previous month’s forecasts and budgets, explaining variances for retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly financial projection reports, including sales, margin, and expense analysis for senior management.
  • Work with division leaders to review past performance and discuss future forecasts in monthly conference calls.
  • Prepare annual budgets for the divisions, including creating presentations for the board.
  • Handle special projects as required by the finance teams.


Qualifications:

  • Over four years of relevant experience, ideally within the retail/wholesale sector and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), with the ability to manage multiple interconnected files and complex formulas.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of sales and inventory costing, journal entries, and general ledger analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a matrixed organizational structure.
  • A team-oriented problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to take calculated risks.
