Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. This role includes managing a team, reviewing key deliverables, and providing analysis to support decision-making. The position also plays a critical role in maintaining strong internal controls, streamlining processes, and supporting organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly and quarterly accounting close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and variance analyses.
- Oversee accounts receivable and other key accounting functions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information and support financial reporting needs.
- Facilitate external and internal audit requests and maintain control documentation.
- Provide technical accounting guidance, particularly related to revenue recognition and complex transactions.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Mentor and develop team members to support professional growth and high performance.
- Contribute to special projects and support leadership initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA/CPA track preferred.
- Public accounting experience required.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- High attention to detail with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP and accounting operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (functions, pivot tables, etc.) required.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred.
Salary Range: $140k - $160k
