Position Overview:

The Director of Accounting will lead the North America accounting organization within a large, multi-entity structure. This individual will be responsible for the integrity of financial reporting, oversight of core accounting operations, and maintenance of strong internal controls across numerous legal entities. The role calls for a technically strong accounting leader who can operate both strategically and tactically, guiding a sizable team while enhancing processes, systems, and overall financial governance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to an accounting team, including managers and staff, while promoting professional development and operational excellence.
  • Own the end-to-end close cycle on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Oversee all intercompany transactions and balances, including reconciliations and eliminations, across domestic and international operations.
  • Maintain compliance with US GAAP, internal control frameworks, and audit standards; lead audit coordination and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
  • Work closely with tax advisors and internal finance stakeholders to support tax filings, compliance obligations, and entity-level requirements.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable function from a strategic and operational perspective, strengthening controls, improving efficiency, and driving process enhancements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting, business initiatives, and operational planning.
  • Lead and support accounting-related system initiatives, including ERP enhancements, automation efforts, and process redesign.
  • Contribute to acquisition-related activities, including due diligence support, post-acquisition integration, and incorporation of new entities into the accounting framework.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred.
  • Progressive accounting experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience in a complex, multi-entity environment, including significant intercompany accounting exposure.
  • Strong command of US GAAP, internal controls, and effective accounting operations.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Background overseeing full-cycle Accounts Payable processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.


Salary Range: $130k - $150k
