Position Overview
The Director of Finance Integration is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing financial integration initiatives across the organization, including acquisitions, system implementations, process transformation, and operational alignment. This role ensures seamless integration of financial operations, reporting structures, systems, and controls while supporting organizational growth and scalability.
This individual partners cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, IT, Operations, and executive leadership to standardize processes, improve financial visibility, and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end finance integration activities related to acquisitions, mergers, business transitions, or organizational changes.
- Oversee integration of financial reporting, accounting policies, and internal controls across business units.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and operational teams to align financial processes and reporting structures.
- Manage implementation and integration of ERP and financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Develop standardized financial workflows and process improvements to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards.
- Coordinate data migration, chart of accounts alignment, and financial system configurations.
- Monitor integration milestones, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support executive leadership with integration strategy, reporting, and performance insights.
- Build and lead cross-functional project teams to execute integration initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance operations, or financial transformation.
- Strong experience with finance integration, process transformation, or M&A environments.
- Experience with ERP implementation or financial systems integration.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proven project management and cross-functional leadership experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Preferred Experience
- Public accounting background.
- Experience in high-growth, PE-backed, or multi-entity organizations.
- Post-merger integration experience.
- Finance transformation or automation initiatives.
