Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Finance to lead financial integration, operational alignment, and process standardization initiatives within a growing organization. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for ensuring newly integrated business units transition seamlessly into the company’s financial infrastructure while maintaining operational continuity and strong internal controls.
The Director of Finance will serve as a key liaison between executive leadership and cross-functional teams, driving alignment across accounting, reporting, systems, and compliance functions. This individual will combine strategic oversight with hands-on execution, building scalable frameworks that support organizational growth, integration initiatives, and long-term financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial integration efforts for newly onboarded or acquired business units, ensuring smooth transitions into established financial processes and systems.
- Develop and execute structured integration roadmaps, including defined milestones and performance metrics.
- Partner with executive leadership to align financial strategy with broader organizational objectives.
- Assess existing accounting operations, financial reporting structures, and internal controls to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Oversee alignment of financial systems, reporting frameworks, and chart of accounts structures across entities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive process improvements and standardization initiatives to enhance scalability and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, HR, IT, and other departments to support system transitions and reporting accuracy.
- Support post-transaction activities from diligence through operational execution, ensuring continuity and financial transparency.
- Build and maintain documentation, integration playbooks, and best practices to support ongoing growth initiatives.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to finance and accounting teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
- Significant progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, internal controls, and multi-entity environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading financial integration, transformation, or complex transition initiatives.
- Experience overseeing financial systems implementations or integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in dynamic, high-growth environments.
- Experience in acquisition-driven or rapidly expanding organizations is a plus.
