Job Overview:

This role is responsible for overseeing key financial accounting functions, including managing financial reporting, maintaining the general ledger, implementing automated systems, overseeing collections, preparing financial statements, and maintaining financial controls and procedures. All tasks must be performed in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the controller and oversee various accounting and reporting activities.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes, including audits.
• Develop financial forecasts, analyze variances, and prepare financial statements.
• Ensure all financial reports adhere to required standards.
• Approve and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
• Lead and manage the accounting team.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data for both internal use and external stakeholders.
• Provide reports for regulatory bodies and rating agencies.
• Monitor and compare actual performance against budgeted and forecasted figures.
• Prepare periodic financial management reports as needed.

Qualifications:

• CPA certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5-8 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Previous experience in accounting management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or SAP.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems.
• Familiarity with statutory regulations and reporting requirements.
• Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements.

Salary Range: $180k - $190k
