About the Company:
We’re working with a growing company seeking a detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong GAAP knowledge and public accounting experience who’s looking to transition into a corporate reporting role with long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Support external reporting requirements, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), if applicable
- Prepare footnote disclosures and assist with MD&A and other financial narrative sections
- Partner with internal teams (FP&A, legal, investor relations) to gather and validate data
- Assist in technical accounting research and prepare whitepapers and documentation as needed
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist with annual audit and quarterly review procedures
- Maintain and improve internal controls and SOX compliance around financial reporting processes
- Contribute to special projects, including system implementations and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in public accounting or a corporate reporting environment
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with SEC regulations (if applicable)
- Excellent Excel skills; experience with Workiva, Hyperion, or Oracle a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
