Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading core accounting functions and ensuring the integrity of the company’s financial records. This position oversees a team, directs the monthly and quarterly close, and maintains effective internal controls and reporting processes. Working closely with finance leadership and business partners, the Accounting Manager provides analysis, drives process enhancements, and supports accurate and timely financial reporting.


Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Work Arrangement: Fully In-Office (Mon-Fri)

Base Salary: $120k - $140k


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end close process by reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules across multiple accounting areas.
  • Prepare and review components of the monthly and quarterly financial statements, including cash flow and equity schedules.
  • Maintain responsibility for accounting and analysis related to direct-to-consumer operations, prepaid expenses, lease accounting, other assets, payroll and compensation costs, SG&A, other income and expense, and fixed assets.
  • Oversee all aspects of inventory accounting, including warehouse adjustments and reserve calculations for excess, obsolete, and lower of cost or net realizable value.
  • Approve new customer and vendor records and validate pricing data within the company’s ERP system.
  • Investigate significant period-over-period variances and explain underlying business and accounting drivers.
  • Research and respond to questions from accounting teams across international locations.
  • Serve as a key contact during internal and external audits by coordinating schedules and providing requested documentation.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc requests from senior finance leadership.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting procedures, reporting workflows, and internal controls.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, inventory accounting, consolidations, and financial reporting.
  • Experience using ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
