Industrial Automation Software Technician (Regulated Industry)

Expected Start Date: January 2026

Location: North of Puerto Rico (Open to Puerto Rico Residents)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility to cover weekends, holidays, or night shifts if required

Summary

ProQuality Network is seeking an Industrial Automation Software Technician for a contractor opportunity. The selected candidate will represent ProQuality Network at our client’s site to support manufacturing operations. This contract role offers the chance to contribute directly to the reliability and compliance of automated manufacturing systems while working in a regulated environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in FDA-regulated or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of validation processes and GMP documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with system integration projects and automation upgrades.
  • Able to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated equipment, including PLCs, motion control systems, HMIs, RFIDs, robotics, and vision systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to repair computers and manage repairs related to operating system images and backups.
  • Knowledge and ability to execute electrical measurements safely and effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repair and replacement of computers connected to manufacturing equipment.
  • Execute application backup and restore procedures to ensure validated system states are preserved.
  • Support integration, configuration, and optimization of automation technologies.
  • Document activities in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Provide schedule flexibility to meet business needs, including possible overtime, holidays, weekends, or night shifts.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support operations and client requirements.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or industrial automation.
  • Strong expertise with PLCs, motion control, HMIs, RFIDs, robotics, and vision systems.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial IT, computer hardware, and software support.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule adjustments.
