Title: Process Development Technician

Summary
Our client is seeking a Process Development Technician to support the development, optimization, and transfer of capable manufacturing processes into production. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, scientists, and cross-functional teams to test, document, and implement process improvements while maintaining and qualifying automated manufacturing equipment. This position requires technical proficiency, independence, and hands-on experience with automation and process development tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional deliverables associated with Process Development and Technology Development projects.
- Assess process capabilities, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement innovative solutions for complex manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with engineers and internal/external vendors to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and qualify manufacturing equipment.
- Support prototype and material testing activities with minimal supervision.
- Collect, organize, and document testing data; prepare detailed reports to communicate results effectively.
- Apply technical knowledge to assist in the design and development of processes, procedures, tooling, and automation systems.
- Contribute technical expertise as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
- Work collaboratively with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing functions to ensure project success.
- Identify technical issues and propose practical, effective solutions within area of responsibility.
- Research, evaluate, and support the implementation of new technologies within the functional area; stay informed of industry advancements and potential applications.
- Demonstrate familiarity with manufacturing technologies such as Laser Welding, Stringing, Staking, Heat Bonding, Injection Molding, Vision Systems, and automated equipment (PLC, servos, pneumatics, sensors, etc.).
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, scientists, and production personnel to achieve process development objectives.
- Provide training to others on new product processes, procedures, and equipment operation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 1–2 years of related experience in process development, manufacturing, or engineering support.
- Proven experience collaborating effectively with manufacturing and process development engineers.
- Basic understanding of documentation requirements within regulated environments.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn new skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or regulated industry environment.
- Prior exposure to the medical device or life sciences industry.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.

- Demonstrate professionalism and sensitivity when exchanging ideas and technical information.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly, concisely, and logically to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
