Position Summary
ProQuality Network is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics I Specialist to join our client’s biopharmaceutical operations team in Pennsylvania. This temp-to-hire role is an excellent opportunity for professionals with warehouse, logistics, or materials management experience who are eager to work in a GMP-regulated environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing daily material receipts, sampling, shipments, and inventory control while ensuring compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The position requires hands-on work with Oracle systems, shipping tools, and temperature-controlled logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling temperature-controlled shipments and hazardous materials.
- Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, or ISO warehouse compliance standards.
- Forklift certification and familiarity with warehouse safety protocols.
- Prior experience supporting logistics documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Sampling
- Perform receipts of APIs, raw materials, and supplies in accordance with company SOPs and client-specific requirements.
- Generate receipt documentation using Oracle and maintain accuracy across all records.
- Utilize the site scheduling tools to document receipt, sampling, and shipment activities.
- Sample all products following written procedures and maintain TruScan RM tool proficiency.
Shipping and Logistics Coordination
- Obtain and maintain IATA/DOT certification to ship hazardous materials both domestically and internationally.
- Manage shipments using FedEx, DGIS, and preferred couriers for timely pickup and delivery.
- Communicate daily with QA, Technical Services, and logistics partners to prioritize shipments and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and logistics teams to ensure accurate, efficient international shipments.
- Handle temperature-sensitive materials using Credo Cubes and other cold-chain systems.
- Notify clients regarding shipment schedules and address receipt or delivery concerns.
Warehouse Operations and Inventory
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with cGMP and safety requirements.
- Safely load and unload shipments using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling when needed.
- Track and verify inventory in accordance with written inventory procedures and perform cycle counts.
- Support material transfers and coordinate in/out requests for production and operations teams.
- Ensure cleaning log accuracy and completion of all daily warehouse documentation.
- Maintain forklift equipment and perform required inspections.
- Participate in client audits and contribute to continuous process improvements in warehouse procedures.
Safety and Compliance
- Follow all gowning and PPE procedures required for the warehouse and controlled environments.
- Support the development and improvement of warehouse compliance procedures aligned with cGMP and safety regulations.
- Assist with waste management, ensuring the removal and disposal of drums, skids, and materials in coordination with contractors.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated environment.
- Prior leadership or team coordination experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working off-shift or flexible hours is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency with Oracle systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Self-starter capable of working independently or with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of IATA/DOT shipping regulations preferred.
