Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Process Development Scientist to design, execute, analyze, and interpret scientific experiments that support process development initiatives and project objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong laboratory expertise, scientific problem-solving skills, and experience working in regulated environments.
This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to generate reliable data, troubleshoot processes, develop experimental strategies, and support the implementation of innovative scientific solutions.

- Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, or related scientific disciplines.

4+ years of scientific experience in a laboratory, process development, or regulated environment.
- Manual or automated inspection processes.
- Pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical packaging operations.
- Incoming inspection of primary containers.
- Process Development Laboratory environments.
- Experience working under cGMP requirements.
- Willingness to work onsite in a Process Development laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, monitor, and evaluate scientific experiments and experimental strategies.
- Develop and support new processes by generating reliable, scientifically sound data.
- Ensure studies are performed according to approved protocols, applicable regulations, and established guidelines.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data and assess its potential impact on projects.
- Develop and implement protocols to investigate and resolve specific technical or process-related issues.
- Apply scientific theory, advanced laboratory techniques, and innovative approaches to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Stay current with relevant scientific literature, technologies, and developments within the field.
- Communicate scientific findings, observations, and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues regarding experimental design, data interpretation, troubleshooting, and corrective solutions.
- Prepare scientific reports, technical summaries, regulatory documentation, invention disclosures, and other technical documents as required.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support department-wide initiatives, including safety programs, recruiting activities, committees, and other organizational efforts.
- Mentor or provide guidance to other team members as appropriate.
- Establish and manage timelines to ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Contribute to the external scientific community and maintain awareness of relevant industry developments.
Education & Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

Doctorate in a relevant scientific or technical discipline; or

Master’s degree plus at least 2 years of scientific experience; or

Bachelor’s degree plus at least 4 years of scientific experience.

Experience supporting pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical inspection, packaging, primary container, or Process Development Laboratory activities will be particularly valuable.
