Position Summary
ProQuality Network is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Scientist to support our client’s ongoing digital transformation initiatives within the medical device sector. The selected professional will play a key role in developing and executing advanced data strategies that enable the transition from reactive to predictive operations. This position requires a strong combination of technical expertise, data-driven thinking, and business insight to deliver impactful improvements in process efficiency, quality, and performance.
Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain data collection, storage, and archiving pipelines to ensure efficient access and analysis.
- Integrate data from multiple enterprise and manufacturing systems, including MES, SAP, and equipment-level data sources.
- Ensure both real-time and historical data integrity for ongoing monitoring and analytical applications.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistical evaluations, and correlation studies to uncover patterns and actionable insights.
- Develop and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms that drive proactive decision-making and operational optimization.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, build dashboards, and deliver visual analytics that support continuous improvement.
- Evaluate current operational processes to identify opportunities for automation, digital enablement, and process enhancement.
- Implement data-driven workflows that enhance productivity, reliability, and compliance within manufacturing operations.
- Partner with IT, engineering, and business process owners to align initiatives with corporate digital transformation goals.
- Document all data methodologies, model development processes, and system architecture to support sustainability and future scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning — preferably within manufacturing or medical device environments.
- Demonstrated experience developing and deploying data pipelines, analytical models, and predictive algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and integration of enterprise systems (MES, SAP, or similar).
- Strong understanding of industrial IoT, manufacturing data systems, and equipment-level data integration.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts in business terms.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
Deliverables
- Comprehensive data pipeline strategy and implementation plan.
- Development and deployment of predictive and analytical models supporting key operational areas.
- Design and delivery of dashboards and visualization tools for ongoing data monitoring.
- Complete documentation of data architecture, methodologies, and long-term adoption recommendations.
