The American Egg Board (AEB) was created by an Act of Congress in 1976 at the request of America’s egg farmers, who desired to pool resources for national category-level egg marketing.

Home to The Incredible Egg and Egg Nutrition Center, AEB is dedicated to increasing demand for all U.S. eggs and egg products. For more than 40 years, America’s egg farmers have supported this mission by funding the AEB. The AEB is 100 percent farmer-funded, and those funds directly support the research, education, and promotion necessary to market eggs.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

As a core member of the American Egg Board’s Integrated Marketing & Communications team, the Manager of Influencer and Social Media will play a vital role in activating the Incredible Egg’s mission to drive consumer demand for eggs. This position is responsible for developing, managing, and activating influencer partnerships and social media campaigns that inspire usage and engage key stakeholder audiences about the nutritious and endless versatility of eggs as a daily food choice.

 

The ideal candidate will have passion for creative storytelling, experience with the influencer and social media landscapes; creating engaging campaigns; and a curiosity for emerging social media and marketing platforms, trends, and tools to effectively communicate the benefits of eggs to consumers.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Social Media Management

  • Develop, curate, and activate content including posts, imagery, recipes, videos, and stories - that align with overall marketing objectives and goals, across campaign-oriented, seasonal, evergreen, and opportunistic content themes – and activating across key consumer social channels, on time and on budget. 
  • Proactively monitor and execute community management for both consumer and industry-facing channels, identifying key opportunities to address consumer feedback, inquiries, and trends, and ensuring timely responses and engagement.
  • Work with internal marketing team to develop annual social strategies, monthly social calendars, and social content to expand reach and engagement with content – both paid and owned – to ensure strategic alignment and for dedicated campaigns.
  • Develop and execute against industry-facing social media strategy—and proactively identify opportunities to develop and share content— reinforcing AEB as a leading authority on industry affairs.
  • Help set metrics and analyze social media performance using in-platform measurement and social listening tools, providing detailed reports and recommendations for continuous improvement or engagement and execution.
  • Help to educate AEB members and partners about social media best practices, trends and create tools and turnkey content that can be easily leveraged by AEB members and partners.
  • Ensure all content meets regulatory guidelines, including securing USDA approval, and aligns with the Incredible Egg brand standards.

 

Influencer Management

  • Identify, build and expand relationships with the Incredible Egg’s community of brand ambassador influencers and content creators across food, health and wellness, and additional lifestyle niches.
  • Develop and manage all stages of influencer programs across multiple activations throughout the year, both campaign oriented and seasonal/holidays, ensuring alignment with marketing campaign goals and messaging, delivering activations on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate with influencers to create compelling food and usage ideas based on consumer insights, through posts, stories, and videos. Ensure key messages are at the core of all activations pulsed throughout the calendar year.
  • Foster an engaged influencer community and manage an influencer database that can be leveraged by AEB members, partners and allied stakeholders.
  • Track and report on influencer campaign performance, adjusting strategies to maximize ROI and ensure extension of annual marketing objectives.
  • Develop and coordinate reviews of all Influencer content created, in addition to agreements, and documents for legal review and approval with the USDA.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

In addition, the following qualifications will be needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience within digital and/or social media marketing for an agency or food organization, with responsibility for Influencers
  • Hands on experience with Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other social channels
  • Experience utilizing Sprout Social, Tagger, and/or other social media and influencer management tools, as well as Canva and Adobe creative suite
  • Hands on experience with social video editing and social analytics
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, managing a robust and diverse set of projects simultaneously
  • Positive and professional demeanor with self-starter attitude that shows initiative and the ability to build rapport with internal and external parties
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and independently; Willingness to wear "many hats" and adapt as organizational priorities change
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well independently and with others at all levels of the organization, including comfort with public speaking/presentation
  • Discretion and trustworthiness to handle sensitive or confidential information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business applications
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 5% of the time

HYBRID OFFICE

Employees will be required to spend 40% of their employment time in the Chicago office. Business travel will be counted towards this 40%.
