Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to drive sales growth and brand presence across the South East and Midlands region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing existing merchant relationships, expanding product penetration, and generating end-user demand through site engagement and direct customer interaction.
This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone who enjoys being on the road, building relationships and representing a premium product offering.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Manage and develop an established portfolio of builders’ merchants, hardware retailers and specialist workwear accounts
· Grow sales and market share through structured account development and territory planning
· Identify and secure new business opportunities within the construction, industrial and trade sectors
· Deliver on-site product demonstrations and toolbox talks to drive end-user demand
· Strengthen relationships with branch managers, buyers and key decision-makers
· Ensure strong in-store brand presence, merchandising and product knowledge within dealer network
· Monitor competitor activity, pricing and market trends across the territory
· Provide regular reporting including call plans, pipeline updates and territory analysis
· Work closely with internal support teams to ensure high service standards and follow-through
Ideal Candidate
We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience selling into builders’ merchants, specialist retailers or the wider construction / industrial channel.
The ideal candidate will have:
· 3+ years’ experience in field sales within hardware, workwear, PPE or building materials
· A strong understanding of how merchant networks operate
· Experience developing both existing accounts and new business within a defined territory
· Confidence engaging at all levels, from site personnel through to senior procurement contacts
· The ability to work independently while contributing to a national sales strategy
Key Competencies & Skills
· Proven experience in aField Sales role within a related sector
· Strong account management and relationship-building ability
· Commercially driven with a clear focus on profitable growth
· Well organised with structured territory planning skills
· Professional, credible and comfortable representing a premium brand
· Full clean Irish driving licence
